You will join the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) department as part of the Data Analytics Technology, Operations & Support Units (DATOS) team and contribute towards our goal of realising a data-driven and analytics led enterprise by making it simpler and easier to consume and use trusted data through enterprise-wide consumption patterns of Modelling, Insights, Reporting and Extracts using the latest tools, techniques and control environment.

Do work that matters
Your role as Insights Analyst will be responsible for delivering insights and analysis, utilising advanced analytical skills to allow the business to maximise profitable growth and customer satisfaction outcomes using analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Teradata, R, Python Excel, Powerpoint and Tableau) in conjunction with varied data sets.
Delivering actionable analytical insights will contribute to the optimisation of our customers’ experience and enable business leaders to make data-driven decisions. You will be able to tell a story with data and be able to communicate findings back to a range of stakeholders.
The key accountabilities include:
  • Work with various internal stakeholders to help formulate and scope business problems.
  • Perform data preparation by cleaning and transforming raw data prior to processing and analysis, such that the data can be readily and accurately analysed.
  • Use analytical techniques to analyse and interpret information
  • Generates insights, options and presents actionable recommendations
  • Produce high quality insights and performance reporting on a variety of business needs including product, customer, risk and finance.
  • Support internal and potentially external stakeholders with timely and accurate data and insights.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot for any automated task or operational activity.
We are interested in hearing from people who have experience in applying analysis to solve business problems and have the ability to generate actionable insights from complex data while using the right tools to do so. We need people who have the ability to proactively manage own activities and projects with high levels of autonomy and have the ability to work with the business to drive and embed change.
It would be great if you have experience in data visualisation tools such as Excel, Tableau or PowerBI and solid experience of SQL will be important to your success. A degree in a related field is desirable but not essential. Having knowledge of Financial Services industry and/or Banking Operations is beneficial but we also want to hear from people who have lots of analytics experience in other fields.
